The SCAR was designed to meet the specific needs of the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) .

The SCAR is available in two versions, the SCAR-L (for Light) called Mk-16 by the US armed forces, and the SCAR-H (for Heavy) (Mk-17).

This new FN Herstal-licensed airsoft replica (laser marking on the body) is the L Dartk Earth (DE) version of the famous SCAR. The finish is very clean, with a metal (upper) and polymer (lower) design.equipped with an adjustable, folding stock, picatinny rails on the front and top of the replica, it also features an ambidextrous firing selector.
