Description
The GBB Walther PPK/S UMAREX replica, a faithful reconstruction of an icon in metal with moving slide
An officially licensed Walther replica, built by VFC
The GBB Walther PPK/S UMAREX replica is a gas-powered airsoft handgun with a moving slide, produced by VFC for Umarex under official Walther license. It reproduces the Walther PPK/S, a compact handgun that became legendary notably through the James Bond films. This level of licensing guarantees formal fidelity to the original model, both in proportions and markings. It is aimed at players and collectors looking for a compact metal replica, usable outdoors as well as indoors.
The construction is entirely in metal, from the body to the slide, giving it a firm grip and a realistic feel. The grip panels are made of textured polymer, ensuring good adhesion in all conditions. For a handgun measuring 155 mm in length, the overall package is dense and well balanced.
GBB operation and feeding
The Gas Blowback system drives the slide rearward with each shot, reproducing the behavior of a real semi-automatic handgun. This operation enhances the shooting feel and contributes to immersion, particularly during games in urban environments or CQB settings. The replica runs on gas. The magazine holds 13 BBs, which corresponds to the reduced capacity characteristic of compact handguns of this type.
The hop-up is adjustable, allowing the BB spin to be tuned to its weight in order to optimize range and accuracy at the desired distance.
Compactness and practical use
With a total length of 155 mm, the Walther PPK/S is one of the most compact airsoft handguns available in this all-metal GBB category. This compactness makes it discreet to carry in a holster, and particularly well suited for use as a backup handgun during airsoft games. It can also find its place in a collection of licensed replicas, alongside other iconic models.
