Adapting the Outer Barrel of Your Airsoft Replica

Changing or extending the outer barrel — also known as the outer barrel — allows you to modify both the appearance and configuration of your airsoft replica. This component is useful if you want to lengthen your inner barrel or install certain accessories that require extra length (suppressors, flash hiders, handguards, etc.).

Outer barrels are generally made of metal for better durability, and can be mounted on electric replicas (AEG) or gas blowback replicas (GBBR), depending on the model.

Check the Thread Type: CW or CCW

An essential point when choosing an outer barrel is its threading:

• CW (Clockwise): the threading turns clockwise.
• CCW (Counter-Clockwise): more common in Airsoft, it turns counterclockwise.

Compatibility with your accessories (suppressors, tracers, flash hiders) depends directly on this threading. It is therefore important to check your replica’s technical specifications before purchasing.
